All of the archaeological sites, monuments, and museums remain closed on
Easter Sunday and May Day, which are official national holidays. On Good Friday, they are open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Holy Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Important Announcements We would like to inform you that on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, due to the inauguration ceremony for the project entitled "Improvement of Accessibility Infrastructure at the Archaeological Sites and Museums of the Ancient Agora of Athens and Kerameikos," the Archaeological Site and Museum of the Ancient Agora will close to the public at 5:00 p.m., with last admission at 4:40 p.m. We inform you that due to the ongoing Recovery and Resilience Fund project titled "Redevelopment of the Main Entrance of the Archaeological Site of the Ancient Agora" (Adrianou 24), from July 1, 2025, until the completion of the redevelopment and upgrading works of the related infrastructure, visitor entry and exit will be through the archaeological site gate at Thiseio Square (Jacqueline de Romilly).
